Rajnski  rizling

Rajnski rizling odlikuje izražen, vrlo profinjen miris s voćnim i cvjetnim aromama. Uz to je prisutan i visok ekstrakt i dobar kiselinski sastav. Upravo mu ekstrakt i kiseline omogućuju dugovječnost i bez visokog sadržaja etanola.

Rhine Riesling is a variety that originates in the Rhine Valley in Germany. Initially, this variety gave rather poor results, until it was concluded that it belongs to the extremely late varieties. According to assumptions, the name of the variety comes from the term Russling (russ = dark wood), and another explanation is related to the word Rissling (rissing = one who causes tears; there may be joy). This variety has nothing to do with Laško Riesling, ie Welsch Riesling (Graševina), just like Paarl Riesling and Emerald Riesling, although part of their name is the same. Rhine Riesling is characterized by a pronounced, very refined aroma with fruity and floral aromas. In addition, a high extract and good acid composition are present. It is the extract and acids that enable its longevity even without a high ethanol content. The ability for wine to age well and to develop a specific and highly valued and rich taste after a long time in the bottle raises Riesling to a new level. The specificity of Rhine Riesling lies in the fact that other varieties of the aforementioned qualities do not have, at least not in that form. Rhine Riesling planted in suitable positions has the ability to accumulate sugar if it is allowed to ripen more slowly and for a long time. It also has the advantage of retaining acids at the same time. Under optimal circumstances, the wines are full, but also fresh, and elegant. However, if it is harvested too early, it gives an average, usually sour, and even a little bitter wine. Over time, it was determined that with the Rhine Riesling, precisely because of its more pronounced acidity, the acids should be allowed to settle in the wine. The acidity is also felt later, but it is moderate and blends well.
